| | I'm glad I'm not the only one who totally fails at updating these days. Haha. I really should be on the couch right now, but who knows when the next time I'll have to do this. Let's update on everyone. Jesse: I don't even remember if I said anything about how he hurt his back a while ago. He was pretty miserable for a few days, then went back to work for 1-3 hours for about a week (to do paperwork and make phone calls and still had to be there at 7am- ew) , had some days off and now has the okay to go back to function lightly. He survived his first real day back, and came home wanting to completely rearrange the living room and dining room. It took him over 2 days (well- minus his time at work Saturday and Sunday morning) to finish it, but it looks good. Sorry- not pics yet. I tried to help a little on Saturday and am definitely paying for it. More on that later. He had an interview yesterday! The guy seemed to like him and wants to let him know by the end of the week, but will have to wait on his bosses. But you can pray that he gets this! His schedule might be a little off for a while, but he would always have every Sunday off... which would be the first time since I was 3 months pregnant with Alex! Alex: He had his 4 year check up yesterday and did great. He is a solid 25% for his weight and height. which is better than I thought... you should see him with the kids his age (and younger) at church. He moved up to "Miss Jenny's" class at church and is loving it, though still missing Mr Denney a little bit. I put him in with the 4 and 5 year olds for VBS last week and he had a blast! I still am trying to find someone to send me some video, or at least a picture, of the kids singing on stage. They did awesome! He was by far the smallest kid up there, but he did most of the moves (especially when they did it again Sunday morning), and looked super cute and had so much fun! He made Jesse a tie for Father's Day and when Jesse was getting ready for his interview he said "I thought you could wear the tie I made you". But he understood that he needed to wear one that actually matched, so long as he would wear it when he got home . He has been loving the pool and asks all the time if he can go swimming, but it turned really green, and though that part is fixed now, we are waiting for the chemicals, etc to even out again so it's safe. At least by tomorrow, if not later today, I'm sure. Sometimes he 'dies'.

Danica: She. is. a. handful. I don't know what is going on, but she has been rotten. Super moody and selfish and just rotten. She's been wanting to snuggle (but not sit still for anyone else to be comfy) and then 2 seconds later is screaming "No!" at someone for no reason at all. She bit me again yesterday. Through my shirt, thank goodness, so it didn't break my skin- it hurts! I'm considering putting her to bed a lot earlier than Alex for a while to see if it helps. She's been getting up with him in the mornings (which today was about 6:30) and after nap instead of sleeping an extra hour or so like she was. It's going to be hard with how things tend to get stretched a lot later in the summer, but I don't know what else to do! People at church are always telling me how cute and sweet she is. Yesterday someone (with a 2 year old girl!) was standing near me and watching her throw a huge fit on the floor and was still telling me that. I do love her to pieces, though. She makes us laugh all the time, and is getting to be so independent- in a good way- and we are starting to understand more of what she is saying too.

Me: Tomorrow will be 3 weeks since the last time I threw up! And so far I am making it through today without my wrist bands. I started getting my shots 2 weeks ago and ohmygoodness they hurt. I was feeling like they were working, too, until the last few days. I didn't really feel like I did a ton on Saturday, but I guess I actually did too much. I haven't been having a lot of contractions, but I have been feeling some pressure, and random pains, and just that general weird feeling. Things I shouldn't be feeling for another 16-18 weeks, but we all know that I'm nt normal like that. I still feel the baby move, so that makes me feel good. I'm trying to stay off my feet when I can, but still need to eat and feed the kids, and the last few days I had to wash dishes. I saved up my standing-up energy last night to clean the pool again, and it just about wiped me out. The nurse that comes to do my shots is probably going to yell at me, and tell me I should have called the doctor. Eh. We are 18 weeks today! The baby is about the size of a bell pepper. Head to rump, it is about 5 1/2 inches long and weighs almost 7 ounces. We should find out what it is on July 17th.. I'll be 21 and a half weeks. Yeah yeah. they are making me wait. Oh- and last I checked, I have gained about 3 pounds back! And this is what I looked like last Thursday. After dinner at Golden Corral. I look biggest at the end of the days and after I eat a lot.

I'm pretty much right on track with how big I was with Danica. I was still throwing up at 18 weeks and just barely starting contractions with her at this point. This time, no more puking (hopefully at all) but definitely more 'high risk' symptoms. I'm halfway to when I'm "allowed" to have this kid. 6 weeks from viability, 12 weeks from a lot better than that, 14.5 weeks from when I had Bug. At this point, with the way I'm feeling, every day past 24 weeks will be a blessing. We have a wedding in August in Michigan that I need to get through (Jesse is the best man). I desperately want to go to NJ after that. I think there will have to be a serious discussion with the doctor about it. Okay- that's enough for now.
Here is how my children play in the pool. Alex stays in until he's about blue... though hopefully that will be longer since it's warmer and the water has had plenty of time to warm up. Danica still wont get in. 'not yet' anyways. (but I got her new swim diaper and I want her to actually use it now!)

And this is the kind of thing our kids do when we leave them unattended. |
